Meeting a friend for a catch up we decided to head to the lovely Jumeirah Beach hotel where we could choose from a variety of restaurants.
My friend fancied Jamie Oliver’s and being a vegetarian, well pescatarian, Italian is always a good choice for me.
We went through and were immediately shown to our table. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The menu was simple- this is to me is a good thing. I really don’t like restaurants that give you a whole booklet full of options as firstly I can never decide what to have, and secondly how can they cook all those meals to perfection?!
One side of the menu was food and the other was drinks, however being Islamic New Year it was actually a dry day so we couldn’t get a vino or cocktail. The drinks selection looked fantastic too! I settled for a mock tail which was also very nice and refreshing.
We skipped the starters and my friend got the lasagne and a side of kale and cabbage salad while I went for the crab spaghetti and garlic bread. I got the small portion but it was more than enough for me! The meal was also buy one get one free on the entertainer- result!
We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals and were left feeling pleasantly satisfied.
After the meal we headed outside and got a golf buggy to the stunning 360 bar for some shisha and mocktails in the fresh air with Burj al Arab views!
