What I did today in Dubai…

My weekend in Dubai starts on a Thursday night as we get Fridays and Saturdays off work!!

Today I woke up and felt an urge to get out in that gorgeous Dubai winter weather! I did a bit of tidying round my apartment, got myself sorted, put on a maxi dress and a sunhat (got to protect the skin from those UV’s!) and hopped in a taxi ready to explore Dubai City Walk.

I wanted a wander round and a few coffee stops and I wasn’t disappointed. In fact I can’t wait to come back to try the places I didn’t get a chance to try, after all there’s only so much coffee one can drink in one day. Or is there??

How cute and pretty are these ‘streets’?!

My first stop was at Serendipity- the cute decor drew me in. It’s speciality is apparently the frozen hot chocolate – I was tempted, but in the end opted for the ‘blushing apples’ iced juice drink. And lovely and refreshing it was too!

I then had a little look around the shops- mainly window shopping as most of the shops are of the high fashion variety, in other words the expensive variety! My beady eyes soon spotted a Sephora which I made a beeline for! It wasn’t huge, but it was nice and quiet, and the staff didn’t harass me like they sometimes do- I must have put my RBF to good use! Haha. Of course I indulged in a few bits..well it would be rude not to.

I’m obsessed with these masks!

I then wandered a bit more and so was ready for another pit stop, luckily I came across my favourite Dubai coffee shop- % Arabica.

I could also sit outside in the shade, ah bliss. Can you believe it’s winter here?! The coffee here is amazing, they don’t have a huge selection – but they are good at what they do!

Yum!! Perfect for coffee lovers! You can really taste the coffee! Seriously this coffee is so good! If you’re in Dubai Mall or at Dubai City Walk make sure you check it out…

I opted for a caffe latte with ice made with soya milk

In a city where outdoor areas for walking can be few and far between, this is a great place to spend a few hours, with amazing breakfast, lunch spots and I’m sure great evening options too!

This place looks so cute!

Loving the views of the Burj Khalifa!!

Wow! This eclair shop had so many cool flavours!!!

As I was wandering around I came across the 3D street art exhibition on! Wow! The artists have cleverly painted scenes which on camera genuinely look 3D! A fab place for friends and family to have fun taking pics as you can get in the scenes!

Just amazing!!

Then I decided to walk to box park which is another cool hip area of shops and cafes and restaurants.

It was about 20 minutes walk away. By the time I arrived I was pretty hot and bothered and yes ready for another drink! Haha. At bubbleology I got an amazing bubble tea- coconut milk with tapioca pearls and mango balls. Yum!!! Sooo good!! And very filling too.

After a bit of wandering and more window shopping I saw a taxi and decided it was time to return home before I spent more money! And yes the first thing I did was make a drink!!!

I opted for a licorice tea (ooh check me out haha) but really if you have a sweet tooth and like mint tea- this is a great and even sweeter alternative! Lovely!

Hope you all enjoy your weekend! And make sure you check out City Walk in Dubai!
